Bose speakers - Just bought used 2003 Pathfinder

Hello,

I just bought a used 2003 pathfinder, and after a coupled of days of driving, realized that teh speakers sound muffled. The only way to hear any type of clear sound is to turn the volume up loudly. Is my amp blown? Are there bad speakers? what's the deal? Any help would be appreciated.

this might be a dumb question but did you mabee turn the trebble all the way down by mistake. you didnt metion that you had checked that so i was just curious. by the way i also have a new to me 03 pathfinder. love it but a mass air flow sensor went out and now 475 for the part these cars are not cheap .
