Bose Speaker Compatibility

Finally got the stock BOSE Head Unit installed (the car came to me without a head unit) but all the BOSE speakers are intact.

Two speakers are working, but have low volumes.
The other two appear to be dead.
I checked voltages...each speaker is GETTING voltage, so I ASSUME that means the speakers are bad, not the wiring or the head unit or amplifier.

Thoughts on those stements before we proceed further?


This may sound odd, but I want to replace the speakers only.

1.) Can I just find a suitable same Ohm speaker and replace just the speaker itself and retain the BOSE housing?
2.) Any recommendations for proper wattages on the new speakers?
