Hey guys,

Just got an 01 Finder with a Bose tape deck (no cd player). I've also got a cd deck and speakers from my old car I'd like to install so my question is does the entire Bose system need to be removed to make aftermarket parts usable (like in my old I30) or can I just wire a new head unit into the old wiring? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Hi there, I also have the 01 pathy with bose system (CD), and replaced it with an aftermarket head unit. You can keep the existing bose system (minus the head unit - radio+tape) and use it with your new head unit. Someone out there sells an adapter kit that will plug into the bose harness, and then you connect it up to your apropriate wires on the new radio harness. can be a little time consuming, but works very well, and doesn't hurt the existing wiring so you could always throw the factory radio back in if you sell it or something.

Hope that helps-Jim
