In my opinion, keep it stock!
I did in my '94 and ordered the DIN adapter from Shane on here who makes the cables that connect to the back of the Bose system that creates an "Aux" input. I'm able to play Pandora and all my music directly from my phone, because the DIN adapter connects to RCA inputs which you can connect any audio source to. He also makes one for the Ipod as well (including charging capability I believe). Do a search on here for "Aux input" and you'll find the thread. I have nice clean direct sound (no FM modulators or cassette adapters) and I'm able to keep the stock look. That's my recommendation
