I say aftermarket... if alll you want is a little more bass, then perhaps you'd be fine with just adding a sub and amp... but IMO, BOSE is overrated. Depends on how much of a sound buff you are!08whitecoupe wrote:Do you guys think I should take out my factory bose. It doesn't have an EQ and I was going to put a sub in.Do you thing I need to put in an aftermarket or you think it will sound ok?
I'm kind of hoping that you're joking. Not to hate on Bose or anything, but they're definitely NOT the best out there. If they were the best, they wouldn't be charging ~$75 per speaker when other companies are charging ten times that amount.08whitecoupe wrote:yea but bose speakers are better then anything out there.i would think it would sound better.but i could be wrong
that is exactly what i thought man . . . dont do it unless your willing to buy all the necissary harnesses and adapters etc, an even then your going to have to spend hours tuning it to make it sound DECENT.08whitecoupe wrote:yea but bose speakers are better then anything out there.i would think it would sound better.but i could be wrong
... the Bose system is a SYSTEM.... it has been tuned as such... take away any one part of the system and it would be near impossible to reproduce the original sound... and NO, it is by far NOT the best out there!08whitecoupe wrote:yea but bose speakers are better then anything out there.i would think it would sound better.but i could be wrong
Absolutely not. Check the FAQ sticky for an explanation of rear fill. I would only worry about replacing the front speakers (mids in door and tweeters in dash). You can use one set of component speakers to do this perfectly. If you're thinking about running a 5.1 setup, then you would want to replace all of the speakers. However, most people don't care too much about surround sound in their car (a few members on here excluded).08whitecoupe wrote:would i have to replace all 9 speakers?
