im not sure if this has been covered yet, but i couldn't find it anywhere. i have the bose radio on my 99 max, and the cd works fine but the radio does not get a signal. there is a faint static noise and the antenna goes up and down fine when i turn the radio on/off. I noticed this after i removed the radio to mount the switches. I'm also pretty sure i reconnected the wiring harnesses good when putting the radio back in. Can somebody help?

Did you reconnect the antenna to the radio? The radio has the regular wiring plugs then it has the antenna connection.

I'm pretty sure that there should also be a large black wire (the antenna) that plugs into the back of the head unit.

Scott is correct. You have two harness connections and the black antenna connection.
