I have a new 2012 G37xs with the 13 speaker Bose sound system, and the salesman told me that there is a way to store music on the radio's harddrive, i.e., transferring from a USB drive, iPod, or CD. Anyone know of this and how to perform the transfer? I cannot find anything about this in the manual or online. Thanks.

Looks like page 4-54 of the owner's manual talks about it.

Thank you. I can see that this talks about CD recording and storage, which is nice, but doesn't mention about moving music files from an iPhone or USB Flashdrive, which was mentioned by my salesperson. Thank you for taking the time and effort to reply.

It is a limitation of the system...you can only rip to the HD from CDs. Sucks....I know.

You can only record from CD's. Take your MP3's and convert to ACC (covert to CD format) and you can then copy them down. Otherwise you can stream from your phone, if it's supported, or from the flash card.

Thanks. It seems this is due to the copyrights and files sharing regulations. Makes sense. I'll just load songs onto 64G USB flashdrive and use that in the car.

Yeah, they don't want to allow people to run MP3's directly into musicbox. Obviously you can burn them to CD (as a music disc) and pull them in that way.
