I have the 14 speaker bose system. Can someone tell with if the sub in the rear deck is a powered sub or not? I am looking for a bit more deeper base. Short of a install of a separate sub in the trunk, has anyone had good luck with replacing speakers or amp that may power the sub to produce a little extra kick?

I thought all Bose systems had Powered Subs, just usually not as much power as we'd like.

I dont think the factory sub is powered but if you want to add a powered after market sub/amplifier, all you need is an RCA Line Level Converter Adaptor, connect the wires to you factory speakers and the RCA to your amp and enjoy the bass from your sub, Infiniti did not make a good system in these cars.
