So I was asked what I expect to get in a stock system, that I shouldn't expect aftermarket performance. I said, I don't expect the thing to shake the block, that's not what I want. What I do expect is proper base response, what I do expect is no distortion in vocals at 1/2 to 3/4 the volume of the system...they say they don't hear distortion...I say then you shouldn't be inputting your opinion on what a good system should sound like.
When I listen to other premium OEM systems Harman/Kardon, Acura ELS, Lexicon, and especially Mark Levinson, they sound WAY better. I'm especially surprised about Acura since, I believe, ELS is their own build. There are a couple others that I would say are on par and better.
My opinion on Bose is it is a well marketed company, nothing more. Maybe once upon a time they were the one to be associated with, but def not now. Bose is what Sony was 10 years ago, a company relying on its name. Even Sony, which I don't really like in general, to me has better sound systems that Bose.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not expecting the world from car audio, but I've been in cars where I thought, that sounds beautiful, then to hear this "premium" system has me mad lol.
Again, not going after Infinitis Bose in general, but am I the only one that feels this way about Bose in general?
