They are worthless. They made some good sounding stuff years ago but then they got big and started selling mass-produced garbage.AZ89two4Tsx wrote:Why all the hate for Bose? Lol, they're just headphones. Why don't you like them? I think they're surround sound stuff sounds decent, but I'm no expert or anything.
Because they market their product as "the best sounding" when in fact they are close to the bottom of the barrel Koss/Boss products.AZ89two4Tsx wrote:Why all the hate for Bose? Lol, they're just headphones.

Whoa, dude. Not cool. There's a lot about Apple I dislike. But I still own four (currently) Apple products. Apple is no where NEAR the bose level. If anything, Monster Cable might be closing in.marlin29311 wrote:Bose is right up there with Apple in terms of the garbage they churn out and how they are just super effective marketing machines.
Yeah, that was a little far fetched.AppleBonker wrote:Whoa, dude. Not cool. There's a lot about Apple I dislike. But I still own four (currently) Apple products. +1, back in the day they would put crossovers in their speakers that would drop the mid and boost the lows and highs giving it that "boomy" sound. What they were really doing is limiting the range and you weren't hearing what the artist/composer intended you to hear.AppleBonker wrote:You'd have to pay me (probably more than $40) to use and bose product. There isn't a single thing I like about that company.
I think most will agree that this is a completely ignorant statement. Maybe I should pull out my 8 year old Powerbook and make a load of cash editing off of it.marlin29311 wrote:Bose is right up there with Apple in terms of the garbage they churn out and how they are just super effective marketing machines.

Which speakers, all of them or were you talking about their infamous 901's and all their built in sound processing?Empty V wrote: +1, back in the day they would put crossovers in their speakers that would drop the mid and boost the lows and highs giving it that "boomy" sound. Those aren't the worst things in the world. I like them more than some $250 pairs I've tried. If you remove the rubber surrounds you get a bit more sound.numbnuts240 wrote:i use the headphones that came with my bb. they fill my ears with music while i cut my grass. good enough for me.
I think i wrote my sentence wrong...AppleBonker wrote:Whoa, dude. Not cool. There's a lot about Apple I dislike. But I still own four (currently) Apple products. Oh, man. I had to endure a Best Buy employee trying to convince me that the $15 Mad Catz HDMI cable I bought wouldn't allow my 360 to reach it's true potential. My favorite part of that whole bowl of stupid is that the cable was really a non-issue. The 360 doesn't even render most games in high-def, it just upscales. Nothing to hold back. And my TV's so cheap I could probably output the 360's signal over UHF and still get the same picture quality. The only reason I bothered going to HDMI is that it handles audio, too, considerably reducing cable clutter.marlin29311 wrote:$200 for a 6ft HDMI cable? Seriously?
