I have a 94 Q45a with the Bose sound system. The radio and CD (with 10 disc changer in the trunk) works but the cassette will not load tape for some reason. Is there anything obvious I can do other than to take the system out for repair

Thank you

David

I didn't get any replies to this post so just thought I would ask again before I go to the trouble of pulling the system out. The problem is that when I try to insert a casette nothing happens. The loading mechanism does not operate.

There's a place that specializes in repairing these, not sure of the web addresss, but a search on "Bose repair" here and Infiniti General might turn up some usefull info.

Of course I'm sure svevral of us would trade you our working HU's for your's + the CD changer :)

EDIT: Ok, I did the search http://www.carstereohelp.com

that is just a bad tape mechanism. no easy fix. you would have to take it in or find one at a junkyard.
