generally, that is a problem with one of the amps.
The 3rd gen Bose has an amplifier for each speaker. There are ways to take them apart and solder them. I have never done it, but I imagine a little google searching or digging through the maxima.org stickies could net you some results.
If you are intent with keeping the Bose, I guess you could just figure out which amp it is and go to a lot of junkyards and try to find a replacement. They are not too hard to get out of both the front and the rear. The front has an enclosed pod that includes the amp and speaker. The rear ones come out from underneath in the trunk (not from inside the cabin). Unless you can get them cheap, I probably wouldn't bother, though. These cars are all 12+ years old and the speakers are paper and the amps aren't made very well.
My advice is to save up for a decent stereo and ditch the Bose. They are not very compatible with aftermarket stuff. You have to buy a harness, HU, front speakers and rear speakers, then either replace the speaker wires or bypass the amps and use the tiny Bose wiring.
On my car, I ran RCAs to an amp in the trunk and then quality speaker wire from the trunk to my doors where I have 6.5" speakers. In the rear, I am using 6x9s running off the HU power, with amps bypassed on factory wires. I also have a subwoofer in the trunk, but that is extra stuff.
