I've noticed something about my Bose sound system. The FM stereo is awesome but when I switch to the cassette you can barely hear it and need to turn it up all the way in order to hear anything at all. Is there a gain switch somewhere for the cassette player? TIA.

Most likely needs either the heads, cleaned or both.

Unlikely, you'll find anyone will to work on it for less than $100 if you pull the unit out of the car and take/ship it to them.

Pretty much any Double DIN Bose from a Nissan/Infiniti (expect Quest) from about 96 through ~02. Be careful of Maxima/I30 non-standard face double DIN units.

You could probably buy 3 or 4 spares (from 91-93) Q45s on eBay before you'd spend as much as it would cost to get yours fixed...
