Hi guys,
My 06 M35's road noise is less then half of my M37's noise level because of the noise reduction system in it. Adeptly named Bose Audio Pilot. Is it possible to have this system installed in the M37?

OK. First the seats, then the alarm, and now the stereo. I have to ask you. Why did you buy this M37 if it didn't have any of the options you wanted?

The Bose Audio Pilot is not a noise cancelling system.

AudioPilot
Noise from the road can often interfere with your music. AudioPilot® Noise compensation technology monitors any sustained background noise and adjusts the music so you can hear it better. It happens automatically, so there’s no need to adjust the controls or turn up the volume.

Technically, it does not actually cancel noise, but it DOES adjust sound staging to compensate for background noise coming from tires, wind, or any other constant background noise that is not coming from the speaker itself. I believe it only comes with the 14-speaker surround sound system. The regular 10 speaker (or however many) system does not have this added tech.

There are other systems that truly have noise canceling. A lot of current 4 cylinder cars come with them. 4 Cylinders and direct injection make for a very buzzy engine. These systems emit a low tone to cancel out higher tones. My last V6 accord came with it. Couldn't tell though. That car was the loudest car I've ever driven. Hard to talk on the phone with the road noise.

Most luxo / sport sedans at Inifniti prices and have a better, more advanced sound system instead of Bose system that has been used in the M sedans and Q70 sedans since 2006 with nearly NO upgrades. It's a 14 year old system. people don't keep the same phone, computer, laptop, or even car for that for that many years!
Lexus, Jag, Mercedes, BMW, and even Genesis have always had a much higher quality system.
I enjoy my Bose surround system but it's probably the lowest quality, least wattage, most outdated system of ANY mid / high priced sedan and has been for years.

Wow, thanks for the info guys. My 06 is so much quieter than it must have to do with insulation in the doors or somewhere else, not sure but it is really noticeable.
Yes the M37 doesn't have all the options I would like to have but for $15K it was what I could afford at the time. Still can't open the 06 door!!
