Anyone know how to hook up an ipod to the bose system in a 95 maxima. It show a cd changer button so I assume there is a jack in the back of the unit. How do I get to it? Thanks a ton.love the tunes

Welcome to NICO!!!!!!

First thing you could do is just get one of those tape deck adapters... thatd be your easiest route, IMO. I have one of those for my XM radio in my Q45, and I love it.. It sounds great, and you can get them for like $20 anywhere...

you can also get a FM modulator for Ipods, but i would go the former route first.....

if you are a hardcore, there are places that sell an adapter that will turn the CD changer port into an AUX-IN... You can go that route if you wish, but the adapters are about $100, and IMO not worth it wheny ou have tape deck kits for $20... you can make a really clean install...

Thanks Wes, you probably saved me time and money and it's good to hear that you are happy with the tape deck/ipod option. I'll be thanking you more on my next road trip. I love my maxima.Mary

One thing I forgot to mention:

With the tape deck adapter, i noticed 2 things.

1. The Dolby noise filter thing and the other tape deck filter (i cant remember what its called off hand) have to both be turned off for the best audio quality.

2. if you have never used your tape deck before, the quality may be really fuzzy... in which case you just need to clean the tape head... Some rubbing alchy and a Q tip will do the trick! be sure to have the Q tip pretty wet (but not dripping) to minimize fuzz droppings...

There is another hack you can do if you have a CD changer:

I don't think the CD changer will work after this....
