Im going to put my Kenwood KDC MP33-2 into my Pathfinder temporarely untill I can afford a nicer Pioneer however I thought you had to buy the Scoche adapter but I dont like that idea. Ive herd the quality is bad and its hard to adjust. I thought about using the rca preouts on my head unit but its only 2 volts and I herd the bose requires 4. Now I discovered that some people are just connecting the headunits directly to the amp like a regular stereo. Dose this work? I am pretty sure im stuck with the Scoche adapter.

schosce adapter? do you mean a wiring harness? you cant connect a aftermarket deck directly, we all get wiring harnesses...like $10, then the connectors match your factory connectors. The bose amp turns on if you solder the blue power on wire to remote turn on on the harness.

So you didnt use this http://www.crutchfield.com/p_1...p=678. You just used this http://www.crutchfield.com/p_1...p=736 because thats what I meant as direct. And as far as the rca hook up goes I was talking about this harness http://www.sonicelectronix.com....html but im pretty sure I cant use it because of the low preout voltage of the kenwood headunit I am using. I would never cut into my factory harness. I dont plan on keeping the pathfinder that long. I probably will though....

I really want to try avoid that kind of adapter.

the second link is exactly what you need. connect all the wires correctly and make sure your bose amp is connected to remote turn on and your all set
