Most large topfeed fuel injectors are low impedance. The stock SR injectors and ECU are high impedance. You will have to wire in resistors to make them fire properly. I think stock SR injectors run at 11 or 12 OHMS so you will need to wire in a a 10 OHM resistor in somewhere along the power wire if each injector. Low impedance run at about 2 OHMs. Also you can buy a resistor box.

Also you will need a top feed fuel rail. Now is also a good time to upgrade to -AN lines and AN fittings and nice AN fuel filter. Get some -6 AN SS line and run it from the stock fule line in the fuel rail and return and fuel regulator. Buy a nice regulator. Get a aeromotive and be done with it.

As far as a top feed rail you can get a HKS there are pricey but nice. Or a Greddy of you have a greddy intake. Or a modifyed JGY rail will fit too.

So you need a top feed rail and you need to wire in resistors to run low impedance injectors. Also you need to make sure the injector will fit the rail. All this stuff is not standardized so you need to pay attention to what you are buying to make it will work for your application. I am also not positive about the OHM resistance so double check my math.

I had a top feed setup for awile with 550cc injectors. I wanted bigger but it was such a headache to have everything fit right. So i just went with a large capacity side feed rail and large 850cc high impedence injectors.

Also if your are running a Power FC you will not be able to get the lag times for your bosch injectors. It's proprietary information and they will not tell what they are. Trust me i talked with the North American director of the company and he will not under any circumstances give you the lag times for any bosch/MSD injector. So your EMS might be a factor when purchasing injectors as well. Yet another reason why I hate the Power FC.

aghh finally a knowledgeable reply to one of my posts.

yeah it just seems like a headache to have the injectors fit the intake and the rail fit the injectors and the clips fit the injectors

its just hard to pass up close to free on some bigggg injectors. now to pick one, or get five o 750's side feed and say no mo headache

Depends on your power goals. Use the fuel calculator on Deatschwerks' website.

I'm sure some people are. The SR is a pretty common motor, so there are SEVERAL custom setups.

Most people aren't in your situation. Unless they have a hookup with bosch, it's easier to run hks, greddy, deatschwerks, etc.

i guess so, the think i like about bosh is even huge injectors have low latency times and can be tuned for a normal idle, im talking like 1600 cc injectors idling at 850...kinda sweet

I ran MSD 52lbs injector in my SR for awhile. It was a good setup but i wanted more power. I for got to tell you. I have 2 sets of RC engineering 750cc injectors for sale, I know u said your are free but they are high impedance top feeds. Also trying to find the lag time for my power FC was a no go. It didn't really hinder the tuning process. But I felt it might not be running as well as it should of been.

Mine came with clips then just wired the power and ground for each cylinder. But again, in your case you will need resistors to run the low impedance big injectors. And the nistune might be a good fit for the injectors seeing as you just manipulate the K value to help find the lag times or something along those lines.

and of course top feed rail any weird grommets or anything like that or were the stock ones a fit?
