born into nissan effed on the choice

I got a 240 - 91- hicas Canadian model if that helpsif I coast in 1,2 or 3 I hear the transmission (rubing or grinding , not loud or violent but concerning) but if I keep some gas it runs smoothe also if I back up (R) the thing grinds and bishez; however it upshifts and downshifts properley (1500-2000rpm DS) (4500-5000 US) also the e- brake light wont go off and i think it has something to do with the strange behavior (noises,vibrations etc...) in addition to that my valves are quite chattery.

Now this car already frightened a few of my friends but I really think everything is wrong can Ii get some backup on fixing these 3 items?

BTW: I'm a Truck mechanic so i'm so-so on car terms and devices.

I need a quick fix or an easy one if not she's gonna have to wait for a few months for the rb now that is a whole new can of worms.....mind you I'd rather turbo the KA ... for 1500 rather that spend the 2500+ for the rb swap
