Hello! First off, I am completely new the site and the world of cars. I'm 21 and just over three weeks ago, I bought my first car, a 2008 Altima Coupe 3.5 SE. After discovering this site, I've seen some of the different parts to put on my car and I am really excited to start putting some new stuff on it. Looking around the forum I saw some people with the borla exhaust system. I really liked the look and sound of it and was curious what other peoples opinions are about it. Is it a good system? What are some other ones I should check out? Thanks in advance for any input.

Yea Borla makes a good exhaust system, a buddy of mine has one and it sounds pretty good. I picked my exhasut through Stillen, and im very happy with the deep sound, but whatever system you get, you probably wont get the full effect until after a few weeks. Check the exhaust thread if you didnt already.

Haha acronyms are cool as long as they stay simple. And I'm guessing that's "borla for the mother f****n win?"

I looked and listened around and came to the same conclusion as you about Borla. I think they sound about the best of any out there. Borla also claims that there weren't any power gains achieved by replacing the mid pipe, hence the axle-back setup. That may change I suppose once Racingline introduces their Y-Pipe and frees up the front end of the exhaust system.

Only problem is that I put down a deposit for mine 3 weeks ago, but Borla is apparently out of stock. So if you want one fast, you may need to look around online, and find a place that has some.

Same here… I heard all the exhausts in person prior to going with the Borla, have to be happy with the sound most of all. Chris from Borla told me the same thing about the midpipe and not worth the cost. This is also taking into consideration that there's a lot of bottle necking done way prior to the midpipe. So until the manifold, y-pipe, and cats are revised, a catback exhaust really won't see any advantages. All that being said I loved the sound enough to get it but I also have plans to overhaul the midpipe after making the for mentioned modifications.

Summit Racing should have them in stock.
