Has anyone used the new "EFR" turbo offered from Borg Warner?

http://www.borgwarnerboosted.com/
click on the "EFR Series" link and roam around.
I find them intriguing. Turbo, high flow wastegate, and a BOV all in one unit.
I think I have found my turbo of choice for my build but I want some reviews or opinions about them first.

I asked them to do this for like the 3 years I worked for them... then 2 weeks after I left the launched this stuff. Yes, they are awesome. No, I can no longer get a discount :(

I'm running the 6258 in place of a gt2871r and so far i'm in love. Very responsive and torque happy. The turbo spools very quick and makes the engine sound completely different. Not sure if i like the intergrated blow off vavle.

I'm using the aem true boost to controll the built in boost controller on the turbo( very reliable gm style unit).

...and? How did you like it? What do you have to compare it to? How much power did you make?

Random little teaser video for ya to show off the EFR a bit

compared to a GT28 that i also use on the car, the EFR moved about 15% more air than the GT so it was slightly lagier yet could make a bit more top end. However on the 12-18 pounds i used with s*** 91 pump gas the EFR wasn't quite able to shine. Will be using some new fuel shortly and will be looking for 25-30 psi :)

Let me know if you have any other questions at all and i'll be happy to help out with what ever i can. What are you considering using an EFR on?

Lagier? It spooled much faster then the .64 gt2871r i sold. I have this installed on an s13 sr20det with stock cames and ichiba/tomei short runner manifold. The short runner mannifold might be playing a small role in that.. I'm seeing 14psi at 1800rpms on 93 pump gas.

That would be perfect, if you can also get a full 3rd gear log on nice flat straight road 2k to redline i can get some dyno graph data to post up with boost, HP and torque VS RPM ;)

cnp here it come

Since sr20det coils are super expensive i guess i can upgrade and fix the problem at the same time. It doesn't seem to difficult to wire up these coil so i will post once i get the dwell dialed in.

So I got the car dialed in on the aem but now my innovative wideband coughed up an e8..... So I think I’m going see if my buddy will let me use his dyno. So I can graduate from the “efr Hype man” as they call me on the other forums

btw when do you first start seeing postive boost?
