Anyone thought of getting the TB bored out? Found this company from the g37 forums and it looks like some good stuff. http://www.maxbore.com/index.html Here is the link from the g37 forum with their TB and pictures. http://www.myg37.com/forums/private-cla ... odies.html

I did that in a previous life but it was from a 40mm opening to a 55mm. Lots of meat taken out and throttle plate replaced. It let the engine breat better. More reponsive revs. I checked my tb and there wasnt a lot of meat left to remove. Mind you its an 06. Give it a shot if its not too expensive and let us know :-)

Seems pretty cheap considering it also includes shipping and the creation of a new butterfly.

Not sure if it is the same for the VK45's, but on the VQ35DE's I am pretty sure the plenum design is much more of a limiting factor than the throttle body size.

Once you start going down these minut upgrades you may as well go all out and port match, gasket match and swirl polish. The good thing is this is all easy stuff and can be done at home. Mount the new tb and open the throttle plate then use a sharpie to mark the gasket and use that as your template. Then use the gasket as the template for the air collector. These are tedious but fun projects.
