I was a little bored today so I played around with the grill a little bit. Im trying to think of way I could change it up a little. Im not really planning on any companies coming out with a decent grill for awhile so ill have to make my own. I jus played around with some mesh I had sitting around. I might be ordering a piece of perforated metal, powder coating it, and then cutting out the honeycomb and replacing it w the metal. Im not yet sure what im doing..here are some pics...

I still don't get why anyone has come up with a replacement grille... looks like an easy fix

btw, why do you put [img] tags for no reasons around your images...?

if you use photobucket link that are pre-formated with image tags you don't need to use the image tagbutton and paste your link in them...lol you don't seem to have understood this as you keep doing it in EVERY image post you do lol

honestly, i'd just go to a body shop and have them add a piece to the chrome pieces so that its 1 piece instead of 2 and have them paint it the same color as your car and just put that mesh like you did. but i'd just spray paint the mesh black or something, not sure how much it would cost to get it powder coated. i know it's just something you threw together being bored but honestly if if you painted the mesh black and had the 2 chrome pieces connected and painted, that would be the best grill i've seen so far

I like the idea you have. I got bored as well and started messing with photo shop and came up with this. Granted it was a quick photoshop and it looks like crap, but you get the general idea.

It is the t-rex grill, but the outside will be powder coated to color match the car and the mesh will be powder coated black, then just take off the burger and add a nissan badge.whole thing should cost less than 400

that looks good. i like the word nissan rather than the burger. i wish the mesh was set farther into the grill.

That's the money shot right there...

I want my car to look like that so much but we keep getting cop outs from Stillen and others saying it's going to be too expensive. Maybe it will be but I'd rather spend it on that then get a full fascia. Body kit's in general never appealed to me on a practical level. Just to much to leave in the in the hand of the install and paint.... then it just flat out isn't as stable, well most kits....

only 1 thing is missing in this pic, well too (the 2nd is smoked headlights). but the thing that is really missing is the black strip at the bottom of the bumper by the fog lights, if you color match that to your car it looks a thousand times better. can you photoshop that into the photoshop pic you have posted now? so we can see how it would look all together

Yea I get off work at 11 tonight so I white out that strip when I get home. I hadnt thought about that, but it sounds like a good idea. I have also thought about throughing the t-rex lower grill on and blacking that out as well.

The blacked out lights are a must, and I just got my stillen front lip and spoiler in the mail today so hopefully i can get them on by this weekend.

I did find a guy online who sells a grill that looks exactly like the t-rex premium grill, only it is maid of stainless steal and goes for $255.99 so its alot cheeper and the hamburger is optional. But I don't know how ligit this dude is so I am waiting to hear back from him and i will let you guys know.

Well her is the photoshop you asked for. I like it but it needs to be photo shopped better. I am still learning. I also tried to add a stillen lip to it, but i failed.

I'm sorry but that white part is uuuuuuuggly... don't do it. It distracts your eyes too much. Leave it black.
