Yeah... I have to be at work in 35 minutes... luckily, work is literally 1 mile away, and thus about 3 minutes drive including driveway and parking time. 1-5, mondo sun, hazy, 90+ degrees, and somewhat sunny... this is going to be yet another ****ty day to be a lifeguard...

Sit in the sun all day, look at the ladies, and get paid like $8/hr..... You may do in a 6 hour day, 2 hours of REAL work...

You ever been a lifeguard?

I admit, it's pretty damn easy. I used to get 8/hr, this year it's 7 cause the managment changed.

Sitting in the sun is pretty ****ty when it's 90some odd degrees, and no, you can't always get in, you have to watch the people. It's also boring as crap.

It's also more janitorial work than lifeguarding. Clean the bathrooms, empty the foul trash (nearly lost the lunch I had 8 hours before the other day... dear God it was awful), clean up anything. Vacumming pool= boring busy work... so boring... and we HAVE to listen to the Top40 station, that's HELL.

In other words, lifeguarding is the most overglamoured job ever. Shut the hell up.
