So which bore size do you go with? Is going bigger bore ok?

cosmetic isnt showing 86.5 bore, only 86 and 87. I see greddy at 88.

so is it ok to go bigger? or with my 86.5 do i go with 86mmbore?

go with 86.5mm on an 86mm bore. The bigger bores are for modified cylinder bores.

Use an 87mm for sure. 86 will stick out and create problems. In reality, 0.25mm difference between the bore and gasket won't be a problem.

What are you doing for pistons? Custom forged?

thanks, will get the 87.

so looking at greddy headgasket, theirs is 88mm. so is going bigger ok? cause i see people running that greddy on a stock engine.

as for the pistons, im just going with a set of wiseco 86.5mm bore

Why not just bore it out to 87mm? Thats perfectly safe and your HG will match perfectly. Plus 87mm pistons are easy to come by.

And you get the added benefit of the .05L extra displacement. Just think of the torque!

87mm is pretty much the point of no return should something go wrong and the cylinder walls are scored. 86.5 leaves some room for error should the cylinder walls need honing. And you can probably still use your 86mm pistons with 86.5mm bore. Depends on your ring conditions

FYI Luke, the Tomei oil orifices shipped today from Nengun.

yeah i went with 86.5mm bore since i work my engine like a mofo.

if something happens, i still can go to 87mm if it allows.

Yeah actually! Do you want one? I've got one left and just sold my other extra one to Luke for $11. I should have ordered a dozen since I have never seen a U.S. shop carry them and I think quite a few people have their motor in bits and pieces right now.

Just need one for the front oil passage. You're suppose to block the back one, which I'm debating on doing that. Been reading some things about oil starvation for hydraulic lifter motors.
