I know i have read this on here before...but i can't for the life of me find it.

I have a redtop, all stock except exhaust.

When i boost my car doesn't get hardly any more power...it will drive fine way up to like 5k....but when i punch it...or even go like half throttle, it loses boost.

I have had an exhaust leak right before the turbo for a while now, but it still builds boost fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like a boost leak to me check for leaking couplers, pipes, vaccuum lines, etc. Last time I had that problem I had a kink in my vaccuum line going to the wastegate actuator. Was this a growing problem or did it just happen one day?

I was driving hard last night...drifting...and on the way home it started...ill check lines and stuff.

Here's the weird thing...it wasn't noticable on the way to work this morning.

EDIT: I was just rereading my origional post...and i didn't quite explain it right. It does NOT lose boost, my greddy profec b spec 2 reads the normal 8...

hmm... something bent? do a leakdown and/or compression test, that will tell you if you're loosing it from the motor as opposed to exhaust/intake systems.
