Hey there everyone. I'm having a little issue with my KA-T as you can already tell. I brought it to Majestic Motorsports after I gave up on a stuck spark plug and the issues just kept on coming in, after awhile they fixed the most of it but one lasting issue they were having is the car not going past and some what bogging at 13 lbs of boost. (i have it set at 21) and they're telling me to get a new body harness cause they think the ecu is not being grounded properly (one of my relay plugs attached to the harness blew so it's charred on one of the prong inserts) but they we're able to by pass that issue by hard wiring it to one another. Question is: what could be causing this issue? Only things that come to mind are boost leak and fuel pressure regulator malfunction.

So it runs perfectly at 12 psi? But 13 psi or higher causes the motor to bog which in turn kills your boost?

What relay was smoked? What caused that and was it fixed?

I watched a friends Corvette burn to the frame and take the guys house with it when it went. Was a wiring problem that caused the whole thing.

It was the ECCS relay and the EGI relay they told me that was smoked. The cars my daily and I always have it at 21lbs. I just find it odd that they say it's doing that. Something to mention that I forgot to mention is that it goes super rich when it starts to boost at 13lbs but the afr's are perfect when it's at idle and regular city driving.

EDIT:
They're not sure what's causing it and haven't fixed it yet. They want me to purchase a new body harness and put it in to see if it fixes it because if it doesn't fix it then it minimizes what it could be since it won't be an electrical issue.

IF something is shorting out and burning plugs, I suggest you listen to the shop and have the harness swapped. The only other option is to figure what is causing the shorts to occur.

Troubleshooting wiring issues over the internet is pretty difficult.

Do you have a wideband O2 meter?

He did say his afr's were on point, so i am assuming he does. I would go the harness route, unless you can find someone that is willing to trouble shoot your existing harness. (probably going to be just as expensive as replacing it, and you wont have as clean or a new harness. Wiring specialties.

If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were blowing out your spark.

How rich is "super rich" above 13 lbs? Going too rich can cause bogging and misfires.
