boosting issue

i have a blacktop s13 and just recently hooked up my manual boost controller. for some reason, i can't crank the boost any higher than a little over 9 psi. furthermore, even at that pressure, my boost progressively falls off after 5000 rpms. anyone had this problem before?

I would start by checking for vac leaks in your system.

Also, what kind of boost controller? Bleed valve? Or an adjustable wastegate actuator?

bleed valve. i just wanted something to hold me over until i get my PFC d-jetro with the PFC boost controller
