Hey guys , my sr was running all sweet and boosting hard then i had new lifters put in coz they were making a hell of a noise( turns out it wasnt them but the vct sprocket being screwed) but nonetheless now its running sweet with no noises but its noticeably boosting a lot less then it was before..... any thoughts? possibly something completely different like afm not handling the airflow or something as its a bigger turbo with standard afm .....??

you need to explain more clearly. you mentioned nothing about upgrading your turbo but then u asked was it because it's a larger turbo

and what do u mean not boosting as hard??sorry your car is not running all sweet..

with the bigger turbo it was boosting hard on 16 pounds nicely , then i had new lifters put in and got it back , but now it feels like the boost has been wound down to like 12 psi but its still reading 16 pounds on the boost gauge... seems a bit better now but still noticably slower..... (silly question but how do u add pics?)

Sounds like your timing is off.

Host your pics off Photobucket.
