I've been looking into boosted designs turbo kit and Ive been trying to figure out which fuel management i will need for the power i want . for starters Ive read many many posts about it and I'm still not sure. I have a 91 240sx, with a new rebuilt motor stock internal specs. i just want to run a good 220 to 250 hp nothing to serious. 1.)Will the Apex safc work fine with to match that Hp range? and i know ill need a new fuel pump, inj ectors etc. 2.)would a walbro FP,300sx fuel filter and i guess 370cc injectors be fine and what else would i need?

Want to know what you should really do? Buy the Boost Designs stg 1 kit and buy the Enthalpy ECU tune for it. It is 500 bucks but well worth it. You can always send it off again to have it er-mapped and all that. Seeing as how a SAFC is 250-300 bucks, then you add either dyno time or the price of a wideband and it makes the Enthalpy tune a much better deal. Also you will have much more precise timing control. I wish BoostDesigns had been around when I first did my custom kit.

I love JWT, advance the timing curve and your golden. The enthalpy tune doesn't have as much retard and runs a tad leaner. Thats the only reason it makes more power. Advance the timing 2 degree's and you'll be golden.

in all honest i have played with both tunes and i really believe enthalpys tune is a more performace based tune not taking anything from JWT there the pioneers in there field but there is always room for improvement in anything. also its nice getting a tune that was actually made for your exact car with your exact turbo and manifold and DP and supporting hardware as you can do with the enthalpy tune and our kits. it can be more agressive safely. also i can have a finished ECU in under 3 days i am not sure of the JWT time frame but when they progrmmed mine a year ago i waited 8 weeks.

jim wolf no longer is making ecus for 96 and up s14's i spoke with the company the other day. if your going to go enthalpy get the stage 2 and youll never have to worry about a retune and youll make more power becuase of his fuel curve and timing map on that ecu. the jim wolf tends to be a little rich iv talked to a ka-t guy with jwt ecu and he says its very very good but he says he can still use an afc for better tunning. get the enthalpy and you will be making more power with no need to tune.

we are about there we have 4 kits left to catch up on and they should be born this week and shipping then at that point were doing our redesign and starting to build stock like i have wanted to do and what this merger was designed to do from the get go but as fast as we build the units they have been going out so its hard to build a stock. with the new setup and stock we hope to cut delivery time to 1-2 weeks till you recieve it total kit. it has been a nightmare and dealing with manufacturing delays has not helped but its just about a reality now. thanks for your support during this transsition.

this is a question directly toward pj. im going to run that enthalpy ecu on my 98 s14. is it safe to order the ecu set up for the z32 maf and 52lb injectors or is there a possibility the stage 2 kit will change in the future and i should wait to make my order.
