When i hit boost wit my red top sr20det in my s13. It starts to scream or go like eEEEEEE, but i still feel the boost. i heard it kould b shaft play, but i kame around a website http://www.pandablue.com/nissa...&PN=1tat says tat it might also b the turbo slightly unbolting. Its under the SR20Det section and under Turbocharge section.
The sound is like a shreik but so far i havnt noticed any boost loss.. Hopefully this is my problem instead of the shaft play tat means tat my turbo is messed up. ANyone ever had this problem?
Ima check it this weekend and hopefully this is the prob.

Omg. Why did you get a motor you know absolutely nothing about? Do you even know what a turbocharger is or how it functions? The compressor and turbine wheels inside the turbo SPIN. Yes they spin really fast and this makes a high pitched whistle noise which is totally NORMAL.
Did you read the URL? It talks about loose bolts on the turbo itself, not shaft play. If you really think this is the case then pull your entire manifold/turbo assembly out of the car and check that all the bolts are torqued to spec.
