My RB20 is all hooked up and runs and everything, but I keep hearing in threads about having to hook up a boost solenoid valve? Where is this valve? Is there any reason to think it wouldn't be taken care of already, or is it something you have to specifically hook up whenever you do this swap?

Please excuse my noobish questions, but I must know, maybe this is part of the reason my car isn't idling right....

the boost solenoid has nothing to do with your idle. its located between the wastegate and the charge pipe just like a boost controller would be.

My 25 wasn't idling smoothly until I connected the vacuum tubes to the carbon cannister. Don't know about the 20 or if you have done that already.

I just have the vacuum hoses that go to the carb canister closed off. I found the carb canister though, so I may as well hook it up now...
