Boost Solenoid?

I finally got my Silvia and i have been looking through it and have noticed there are some pieces on it i am unfamiliar with... is this some sort of Boos Solenoid? the black knob on the end of it turns almost like a manual boost controller... im lost on this one, anything helps.

Looks like one.. I believe its used to prevent boost spike, but mine was fully metal and mounted on that same bracket there..with a different plug style. More likely an emission control device there.

It is some sort of boost controll, but the black thing isn't a knob. Its controlled directly by the ecu: Turbo Boost Pressure Control Solonoid, pin 111 (orange/black). Mine was messed up so I took if out of my harness.

That one is for the emissions equipment. The boost control solenoid is a metal canister attached to the same igniter chip plate as that green solenoid.
