I was doing the G.A.B( Ghetto Air Box) to my 00 I30 today and i noticed a sensor on the front of the air intake tube that says Boost sensor ?

What exactly does it do ? And how do we get more boost ?

Could it be the IAT (intake air temp sensor)? It's located before the MAF on the intake.

not sure, Its located all the way in the front and is mounted on the side of the air tube. But its not in the air tube just a sensor on the side of it. It has a vacum tube connected to it and a electrical plug .

It has nothing to do with "boost (ie. forced induction)." I believe it is part of the MAP system.
