I am having problems holding a solid boost at 14 psi. I am still running stock turbo. When i turn the boost on high it is set to run at 14psi. It will not hold a solid 14 psi, it fluckuates between 10 and 14psi. I performed a boost leak test on it and i had no leaks. Does anybody know what it might be and how i can fix it.

The spring is extremely stiff on the stock actuator. I can't get mine to boost past 10 PSI. An actuator upgrade might be in order. What kind of boost control are you using?
Edit: Noticed it was the S14 SR. Not familiar intimately with the actuator on there but I assume the problem will be the same/similar.

im guessing that either your turbo or actuator has just got too many days behind it and can no longer hold that amount of boost..unless you are running a crappy MBC that could also be the problem

alright well in this case what i would do is look into the actuator being bad or the turbo..usually its the turbo that gets old enough to where it cant hold that amount of boost..14psi on a stock turbo is maxing it out so trying to hold a steady 14psi on a stock turbo that has seen its days is asking a lot

ya i figured that you didnt put all 50k on it thats what i mean..you dont know who had it before you or how that person treated it either..very possible the turbo isnt making boost and its very possible its not..what you should do is hook an air compressor up to your actuator and apply pressure to it and see if its opening to eliminate whether or not its the actuator.
