97 s14 w sr 20 v v t.okthat being said i heva problemmthe car doest have the power it did before.gauge says its not maintaining a constant boost level kina like its being vented out also the car has a whistle sound coming from what seems to be the turbo area.i cant check it due to the sound is only made when the car is under a load.i have a old blizt blow off valve but i dont know how to check to see if its leaking?could it be my factory wastegate?all my intercooler couplings seem to be fine and are all secure.plugs were changed and air filter is clean.i have a mechanic but hes out of town for 2 weeks.any ideas would be great.thanks

Sounds like a leaking bov. Try tightening down the adjuster all the way. Disconnect the vacuum line to it. Wrap the bov in Saran (sp) wrap real tight, use a rubber band to make sure...run it down the road...check it when you get back. If it exploded, the bov is probably leaking. Kind of ghetto, but it works.

gotta call no joy on that one disconnected vac line and covered tightly with plastic wrap secured with rubberband and ran down thwe adjuster.noise still persists.turbo is spooling but not holding boost levelwill spike at sett level then just drop off.checked all coupling and they look goodgot t boltclamps on all and are tight.is there anyway to bo a boost checkor just to pressureize the piping from the turbo to the intake? im totally lost?
