Boost Level vs. Octane

Effective CR ( when FI is added) is linear with static CR increase or boost increase. What you want to look into is Dynamic CR where aftermarket cams with the right specs can lower the knock thresh hold..

Sorry.. way off...Pressure = restriction to airflow.

If you have a supercharger that is Xcu" per rev, and you lower the restriction int o the engine via bigger valves or runners etc.. you will have LESS manifold pressure (boost PSI) than a more restrictive setup.

Simply put, if you are going to run race fuel or a mix all the time, dyno to that. If not, dyno to pump gas, but putting in race fuel or mixing later may hurt performance. Me personnally, I am going to run a mix all the time, so I will tune to that by advancing my timing accordingly. More timing=more HP.
