Hey guys... I am pretty sure i dont have a boost leak now that i have replaced all my intercooler couplers and reducers. But some times it will buck a little bit and lose like all power untill i take off the gas or gun it (around 10- 15 vac is when it does it most of the time) but under boost its perfect. Anyway tonight on the way home i let it do it for a second and it kept making my car sort of backfire.... not a real backfire but i heard somthing popping coming from the exsaust? could a boost leak cause this? after i replaced like 150$ worth of silicon lol and those bad boys are air tight.... i made sure of it.

sr redtop with FMic and full exsaust headers back

unburned fuel coats the exhaust pipes and under load sometimes creates a backfire. nothing serious, it just means you are running rich...if anything. better to run rich than lean... plus it looks cool.

10-15 hg is pretty low. other than the redtop and fmic and exhaust, the engine is relatively stock?

when exactly does the backfire occur? When you let off of the throttle after a hard acceleration? Under all vacuum conditions? Check your blow-off valve for good operation

The backfire does not happen often but the bogging does happen under light accel the engine itself is stock
