My car is experiencing poor acceleration. I noticed that there is little or no boost pressure showing on my gauges. Boost is reading .1 BAR, sometimes .25 BAR and very inconsistent. It has been running on .4 BAR for a while and suddenly developed this boost issue. Vacuum line to Actuator was inspected and Intercooler lines were checked for leaks and base timing was checked, 15deg BTDC.The car still idles cleanly at 800 rpms.

UPDATE: - I checked the turbo from the compressor side and it seems to spin freely. - carefully applied + pressure to the actuator and it closes/open freely.- The only thing I did not get a chance to check was my catalytic converter, hopefully I did not burn and clogged the passage way.

With my setup, how do you guys check for ECU codes, without a scanner? The S15 Nissan Factory Manual said to jump the CHK and the IGN terminals butLooking at my OBD-II plug, I don’t have the same configuration (it has less wires). The USDM 240SX Manual says to use the ECU to switch to diagnostic mode. Seems that I don’t use the standard KA ECU, this is not an option.

Please help.

Take ECU out and turn it around so that the screw to turn is facing you. Turn the key to on and turn that screw on the ECU clockwise fully. Wait 2 seconds and turn the screwn counter clockwise fully and I think for S15 ECU, engine light on your gauge cluster will flash (or the LED next to the screw). Read the codes. When you are done, turn it clockwise fully again, wait 2 seconds and turn it counter clockwise fully again.

Thanks,According to the S15 FSM w/c I just downloaded, the MIL light is the engine light in the instrument cluster. It did not say anything about the ECM to have lights for diagnostics; The S14 KA ECU did.It wants me to use the "Consult-II" terminal under the dash and jump 2 wires. It looks like I still have the USDM OBD-II terminal configuration (less wires). Should I have swap the diagnostic terminal with the one on the S15 engine harness???

What are my optiions to read ECM codes???Thanks for your help.
