Red power, black to ground. As far as the signal boost gauges are usually mechanical.

If your boost gauge reads vacuum as well, you really want to just T it into one of the vac lines from the intake manifold, this way it will read the vacuum and the boost.

yea ive got three guages, there all have electrical parts, i combined all the grounds for the three and grounded it properly but what wire should i hook up the power to because my brother said i should hook it directly into the fuses on the driver side by the pedals but that seems sketchy to me, i was originally going to hook it up to a switch then wire it into my battery because its located directly behind the passenger seat, and they all have fuses on them so i didnt see why that would be a problem. so if u guys have any suggestions on what wire to hook it up to can u tell me the general area and the color it would be? thanks for ur help guys....

For the moment, I have my gauges sharing the key-on power line to the radio.

Probably somewhere closer i could wire them too, but it's easy to get too and it works for now. I think the wire was red and black and obviously runs into the back of the head unit. As always a multimeter is your friend, just make sure the wire goes to 12v when the key is turned to the on position.

You need the gauges to power on when turn the car on and off when you turn the car off (obviously). The easiest and best way to do this would be to connect the power to the accessory power wire in the ignition harness located under the steering wheel. You'll have to remove one plastic panel to acess it. It is the Blue wire in the harness, simply splice into it. Good luck.

You need to connect it to the dimmer system so that you can adjust the light with the factory dimmer switch.

You don't need a radio in your car to connect to the radio harness. You simply splice into the radio harness power wire. But as I suggested before, use the accessory wire.

oh ic, so do i just look for a suitable wire behind the dimmer switch to splice into?

Yes, that's correct. You need to find the right wire on the switch to splice into. Be careful, if you mess with the wrong wire you could ruin your dimmer switch.
