Im having trouble install my greddy boost gauge. The only issue is the wiring. I have power and ground wires tapped but i cant find parking light and ignition. Also am i supposed to use the little "orifice" in the 3 way joint? thanks

omg should installing a BG be this hard? Should i use the ground from the stereo harness or the chassis? also i want to wire the parking light wire to the dimmer switch - what wire should i tap it to. thanks. Thanks in advance

ground to chassis (easiest), power = tap stereo, ignition I know from the wire near the battery tray since I had to fiddle with that for my swap. lol I'll have a look at the wire colors in the morning.

power = tap stereo = bad idea.

I don't know about you, but when i'm on the track i tend to keep my stereo off, which in the above setup would mean my boost gauge turns off.

The switch for the radio is independent from the harness that goes to the radio. They are not tapping inside the radio, but in the harness. However, w/the radio going, I do not know if inaccurate readings in the boost gauge could occur due to the extra power pull.

I realize they are tapping the harness, it just wasn't made clear which power wire to the harness they were tapping.

I just instantly assume when someone taps power to the radio they use the output wire, much like when wiring up an amp.

That said, I don't think that the gauge would get innacurate readings due to the power draw. If it were an EGT probe or wideband, i could see problems arising due to the extra power needed by the gauge/controller for the heater circuit.
