We have been trying to get the car figured out and my son wants to install a boost gauge. We have found all the manifold vacuum lines but cannot figure out where we can tap in for a positive pressure reading! Is there any place on the engine that we can access or will we need to tap into the manifold after the after cooler? I know on my TD pickup that I tapped into the intake manifold after the cooler but just not sure on this system where to do it. Seems by diagram there are a couple of places but I cannot locate their exact location or they are pretty big lines to mess with.

So if there is someplace if you could advise it would be appreciated, I am just not familiar enough with this layout to mess around and not wanting to cause other issues.

One thought is that we would need to run 2 gauges one for each intake as it would probably not be advisable to tap and T both intakes and create a possible equalizer and not have accurate readings.

Thanks Hank

The easiest and preferred way is to tap into one of the plenum (intake manifold) balance tube (the long black tube that runs transversely across the back of the plenum) fittings.

No need for 2 boost gauges... the vacuum after the throttle bodies should be the same regardless of bank.

you are talking about the black tube that is at the rear by the firewall and also has the fuel lines attached? According to the vacuum diagram it is also a vacuum system unless you are pointing to something else. The diagram has it also going to the fuel damper and boost sensor if this is the one referred to.

Yes the black metal tube that has vacuum connections for the fuel damper and fuel pressure regulator. Looks like this:
