Im having and issue with my autometer cobalt manual boost gauge I was hoping I could get you guys to help me trouble shoot or someone that has had a similar problem

the problem Im having with it is I have it T'd in to my vac line all nice and secure and it registers boost and vac to I believe but the problem is the needle is at the bottom where it says boost and autometer?... but it is in fact registering the + & - pressure just not between the dashes and numbers like its out of calibration or something Idk, any clues?

Toss it.

This is an important measurement and this meter's quality is obviously crap.

A new meter is cheaper than a blown head gasket or a holed piston.

If you bought it brand new then take it back and get a new one. Maybe you just got a crap gauge. If not your gonna have to get a new one. If your on a budget, get some name brand used or pro-sport new. They have really good prices and look nice.
