I have been having some problems as of late.

I have basicly a stock red top with bolt ons (FMIC, Walboro, Intake, Exhasut)And i am running 14 PSI.

However more and more, especialy as of late it seems like boost is falling off more.

Right now it will hit 14PSI then by 5500 RPM boost has fallen to about .6 bar or about 8 pounds. And then it will stay at that right to the redline. I know the t25 will not hold 14 pounds right to the redline but this seems a little much. I never used to notice this. I can't hear an exhaust leak. The only thing i can think of is a boost leak or maybe my actuator is gone.

I am running a turbosmart boost controller. It works fine and have even tried a different controller (manual) and it does the same thing.

Any idea? I need this fixed by sunday as i have a track event.

I couldn't say that it's the turbo dying completely. The turbo spins at a fixed rate due to the wastegate, regardless of the engine RPM. The fact that he can boost up to 14psi says it's somewhat capable. Does it make any funny noises or unusual smoke? Check for exhaust leaks because those can be killer for turbo response. Mine boosts up to 14 and slows back down to 11-12 as the RPMs rise, especially in lower gears. When my manifold to turbo flange gasket was gone, it would cause much more lag and struggled to hold full boost.

Hope this helps.

edit: err you already said you can't hear exhaust leaks...

double check for boost leaks. if you can pressurize the system, you can easily find leaks in there.

If you think it's the actuator, try swapping a new one on and see if the problem still persists.

A few years ago, my turbo was having the same issues. I would boost up to 12 to 13 pounds (which is where I have mine set), and then it would fall back to 7 psi. One turbo rebuild later, the problem was cured. But mine had some decent shaft play in it.
