Boost drop off problems check this out .

OK i said i was going to make a post about my probleem and the answer when i found it . i was having problems holding 9psi to red line or even above 5000rpm . It would always hit 9psi at 4500rpm and drop off to 4psi by 5000 rpm .I did in the beginning have some boost leaks. Got those fixed thought it was pcv valve (i was tired at time and should not have been working on my car ) so i tried to hook up my occ (oil catch can ) and did it wrong and blew the seals in my turbo ,Costing me 472.00 for complete rebuild with new compressor wheel as i bent 2 fins on the original . Then bought a mbc ball and spring it did not help either . Then went to performance shop and they said i needed a vbc .So i bought one and it helped a little . Finally i bought a new air filter (from auto zone A high flow one in there performance aisle ) Just to see if it would help as the other was a ebay hks style . well let it be told it fixed my problem im holding 9psi till well over 6000rpm my air fuels have changed to 10 to 1 at 9psi . IM going to se if i can take it to 10 just not yet .And i love it ,so if this helps any one i hope so .
