Yeah, youre gonna need the harness. Without the connections, the emanage is just a box. They say you only need the ignition harness, as it comes with extra wires you can use instead of the injector harness.

You can either buy the support tool (PC software) and tune it using a PC/laptop. Or you can buy a Greddy Profec (E-01?) to tune it.

Do you know how to tune a car? Is it the emanage user interface you dont know how to work with or do you lack the tuning skills? (you dont know what you are doing?)

buy the ignition harness and yes you can use the extra wires for injectors you only need 2 wires for ignition and 4 wires for injectors so you will have plenty. the emanage is not to be toyed with especially if you do not know how to tune it. it took me close to a year to get proficent with it, so PLEASE save your motor and have it installed and tuned by someone who knows the system. i am all for the DIY on your own car but you can and probably will blow it up if you mess up in the least bit with this system. thanks

I run an emanage but its a home built turbo setup so its not exactly like yours, and I agree with boostdesigns, with a few adjustment here and there I could blow my motor purposly if I wanted to. Be sure you know what you are doing with the emanage.

which would be easier to tune? SAFC or emanage? i might just use that 12:1 FMU for now till i can tune the emanage...

I have no experience with either, but I would say the SAFC is easier to tune with. It doesnt use a PC interface or a separate controller like the emanage.

a greddy emanage without any extras is equivalent to an older safc (the one with knobs, older than safc1). it can adjust fuel in 5 rpm based points, therefore it is "easier" to tune than a safc1/2, but by no means better....without the extras it's worthless

im just wondering if SAFC2 can even control 50lb injectors. ive heard they can only handle 30% higher than stock injectors with 50lb (550cc) is 50%

I have 42lb injectors and only have it trimmed -30 at idle, so it has -20 to go. The SAFCII is extrememly easy once you figure it out. Took me one day of messing with it. If you have a wide band your golden. Simply start off running rich and lean it out slowly while a friend reads the AF meter for ya.

i guess the only way you can read air/fuel is from a wideband huh? if you get a gauge it wont be accurate? is there any other way you can read it without getting a $300 wideband?

You could go make a dyno run, get the AF printout and then adjust from there, redyno after you make adjustments then repeat until you get it good. Some shops will charge you $50 per dyno pull, some will charge by the half hour.

i have a question about the fuel rail. the top feed fuel rail that comes with the kit doesnt seem to hold the injectors very well... im scared that the injectors might leak because theres nothing to bolt them to the fuel rail. would i be better off using the injectors with the stock fuel rail? or are the stock injectors side feed? thanks for all the help!

If I were you, I would get the ignition harness at the BARE MINIMUM. You are going to need that make full use of the emanage.

Then, if you are going to tune yourself, get a wideband and the support tool, and a laptop.

If you are going to have a shop tune, then you'll need only the support tool (unless they have the software and cable).

Depending on how knowledgeable you are, tuning yourself can be rewarding as you can make adjustments later on yourself if it is needed.

I can't even count how many times I've hooked up my laptop to the emanage in my car to make minor adjustments to fuel and timing over the last year.
