Boost cut

I thought u get boost cut around 12psi on the ca's ecu....how ever i messed up and hit 18psi....iam a dumb *** i know but it didnt hit and boost cut or anything like that ..is there a device on the ca that prevents it or is ot all controled by the ecu >

Get a real boost controller or at least run a vacuum hose from the turbo to the wastegate actuator for stock boost. Keep playing with 18psi and I'll be glad to turn you on to another CA18DET engine after you blow-up yours.

There is no "boost cut" on the CA. Our motors do not have a MAP sensor. What we get is "ignition/fuel cut". It happens when more air flows though the MAF than it can count.

yeha iam think the same thing ...its almost time to pull the motor for a rebuild this winter...but i can have it blow jsut yet 12 pounds was fun for a while ....i was happy with stock
