the cold weather has come and my car loves it. the problem is that my after about 4700rpm the current overpowers my internal wastegate and boost slowly starts climbing higher and higher until i let off. is the only real way to get around this to port out the wastegate or close up the internal one and weld in an external? the turbo is a norris designs T28/T3 hybrid. it seems strange they would make a turbo where the wastegate was not efficient enough to compensate for the air drawn in. also i am not currently using any boost controllers and the boost is set at the .8 bar that norris designs set the wastegate arm at.

you could always cut a big hole in the intercooler pipe, or maybe blow out a few exhaust gaskets.... that would solve the problem :)

Otherwise it's time to take a die grinder to it
