I have my boost controller teed of the same vacumn line as my bov, I was wondering if that was ok? or if the boost controller needs its own line?

Do you mean that the signal for the boost controller is on the BOV line?

Okay you've got it in the wrong place.

On the compressor side of your turbo is a nipple with a hose, that goes off to a sensor etc and then eventually comes back and connects to the wastegate on the turbo. If you want to control boost you have to remove all that stuff and just connect a hose from the compressor side, to your boost controller then to the wastegate.

See that red hose on the turbo? That's where I installed my MBC.. I just cut it in half and put it in between.

See where it connects to the compressor housing and where it connects to the wastegate actuator.

Obviously my car is modified, if yours is 100% stock then you'll have a bunch oif extra hosing going to a kind of boost controller etc, but really all you need is the hose coming from the compressor, to your MBC then into the wastegate actuator.

Too bad only those with stock turbos can use that port. Or you have to add one.

I don't feel ok drilling into my compressor housing, so I bought a fitting at work that has a 1/8NPT side and a 5/32 vac nipple side. Cost all of $1. I am installing it on the cast turbo outlet.

Rico nailed it. This is exactly what I did. Go down to the hardware store and get a 1/8NPTx1/4barbed brass fitting. Also buy a 1/8NPT drill and tap. Pull off your turbo outlet pipe, drill and tap a hole in it somewhere on the side, put some RTV or Teflon on the threads, and then thread the fitting into your opening hand tight plus a 1/4 turn. Clean out all of the aluminum bit, and bolt it back onto the turbo. Now you can hook a vac like up to this nipple, tie in the MBC, and then connect the other side of the MBC outlet to the wastegate actuator. Now you're all set!

that's funny, cause i bought my turbo straight from turbonetics and it already had a hole tapped in the compressor housing for a brass nipple.

Turbonetics is pretty good about that. I think it's because they make their own housings. Garrett will generally have a spot where it can be drilled and tapped at, but won't actually do it.
