I searched and cant seem to get a clear answer. If this has been answered befor I apologize.. I am getting ready to install the AEM tru boost. Now the problem I am haveing is that My intercooler pipeing dose not have a nipple for the Vacume to the waste gate. I am also putting on an aluminum intake pipe with filter that dose not have it either.

Where else has anyone tapped for the waste gate? I think I can do it from the Tee at the fuel pressure reg! but not to sure? any info would help thanks guys...

Go to your local auto parts store and buy a nipple (one that you can screw into your cold pipe). Tap a hole that's the size on the thread on your new nipple and install it. Put the nipple about 12" away from your throttle body just to be safe.

Or you can try this (I did this)...there's two (left one is slightly smaller then the right) nipples or vac. sources right on your throttle body. Use one of them for your boost gauge preferably the smaller one (left one I believe). Run and line from the bigger one (right one?) up a few inches and place a "T" there. Now you have one from your wastegate and one for your BOV

Option one is probably the best route cause you should always want any item requiring a vac,/boost source to have it's own nipple and not use a "T".

Don't do that.

boost spike is not good for you're car and thats what you'll get if you run you're lines from the throttle body. Read the tech article on boost controllers below, it'll tell you how and how not to install it along with alot of other info that can save alot of time searching.

Hang on, im a little confused. Correct me if i'm wrong here but isn't what a mbc does is it bleeds off some of the pressure going to the wastegate so that the wastegate opens later than it normally does...so say you get to 13psi, but the wastegate will only read 8psi because the rest was bled off.If this is so, couldn't you just cut into the line that goes to the wastegate and stick the mbc in there?

If u don't have a nipple on the intercooler piping u can first start at the wastegate then to the boost controller, then to a hose with a tee. One goes to the bov and the other one goes the upper right nipple on the t/body.

I don't not recommend doing this if u are running high boost. This will cause boost spike.

These are some photos right off the installation manual for my turbo xs manual boost controller (sorry for the cell phone shots). If there is a line from the turbo (or any pressurized line) going to the wastegate like this:

I dont understand why i cant just cut that and put the mbc in between there like this:

Here's how I did mine. I drilled a hole in my IC piping, bought a hose bard, and drilled the hole a bit smaller then the barb. Then with some JB weld, I threaded it inside the IC piping. As for the MBC, I put it in between the IC and Turbo.

But would it be wrong if i just cut the line going to the wastegate and stick it in there like it is in the photos i posted? I'm hearing a lot of different things here.

No, thats the way its suppose to be ran, just like how the picture indicates. Think about it like this, your manual shows the MBC between the turbo and the wastegate, however, since our turbo's don't come with a hose barb on the turbo itself, I put it on the IC which is the next best place to the turbo. Its the exact same setup, you're just confusing yourself by over thinking it.

Right got that now, but why couldn't i just cut the hose that goes to the wastegate (no matter where it comes from) and put the mbc in between there?

Come on guys, no one wants to answer my question? I think it's quite valid. I'm asking if i can just cut the line that goes to the wastegate and put those ends that i formed from cutting it onto the nipples on my mbc.
