no!don't throw it away!you don't need it.....but if you go have a look at buying a electronically adjustable boost setup from "Link", then you will notice that it is the EXACT same solenoid!and they charge $297NZ for them.

If you don't want to use it for anything...you could at least sell it.

I'm using mine for electronic boost control :)

it's not a boost solenoid, the CA didn't have any boost control other than the actuator. It's a hot start solenoid that raises the fuel pressure a bit when hot for starting. You don't need it though, ditched mine eons ago.

Jezz has it right. Mine was bad when I got the car and I ditched it. No problems starting when it's hot. It still doesn't like to stay running when it's real cold.

I know that it came factory for the fuel pressure reg, and that you don't need it.but all it is, is a 3 port vacumn solenoid. which can be very easily wired up to control boost electronically

Do you have a diagram? Are you using a pressure switch of some sort? It's not that I don't believe you, I just want to understand.

ok, I'll draw one up tomorrow when I have some time.I'm using a boost pressure sensor that I got with my digital goost gauge. but before that I was just going to get a cheap MAP sensor off a Honda ( only because most honda's use a MAP sensor ), which is cheaper than buying after market.then goes to a Op amp ( I think, my electoncis tutor is designing the IC stuff for me ), and a Trim-pot to adjust the boost pressure, using your boost gauge to tell you what boost its set to

the sensor can just be any Pressure transducer that you can find cheap

how did you build the amp? I think I understand how it works, but I'm kind of a visual person. If you have/can make a wiring diagram, that would do me wonders. Thanks!

the values of R1,R2, and VR1 depend on the pressure transducer you use.The transducer I am using gives 1.98V out at atsmopheric pressure.

if you are putting a Z32 maf on then fuel cut is the least of your worries... boost cut is gonna hit you the second you try to turn the boost up tho(I know it doesn't cut boost, but thats still what its called)

you have to copy paste it i nbrowser so it'll show, geocities doesn't like outside linking, then it'll keep showing until you reopen the browser (or it's been awhile).

I tried to resave it and attatch in-thread using the board but stupid 300x300 limit..

What is TTP Max exactly? I saw that in the adr files for the CA

The boost limit address you give is called 'AF Limit' in the address files from Romedit, I was wondering what that was for.

I redid the schematic so it'll fit in the forum builtin image gizmo

Wow, didn't realize how small it was until I posted it, since I was working with it zoomed in lol. Might need to zoom in ... esp. to see the diode there ! hehe
